Boryspil International Airport has reported a 15% year-on-year rise in passenger numbers during the first quarter of 2019, writes Business Ukraine.

Approximately 2.6 million people used the airport in the January-March period, with slightly over 90% of these passengers traveling on international flights.

The airport, which serves as the main international gateway to Kyiv, has recently reopened its Terminal F facility in order to accommodate the growing number of low-cost airlines entering the market as Ukraine experiences a sustained air travel boom.

Boryspil International Airport saw a 19.5% year-on-year increase in passenger numbers during 2018, continuing a growth trend that has seen passenger volumes at the airport rise by 84% since 2014.

As reported earlier, Kharkiv and Lviv airports set new passenger records.
