The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (HUR MO) has published an interactive 3D model, main components, and details of the new russian cruise missile “izdelie-30” on the War&Sanctions portal.
The missile has a wingspan of about 3 meters, a warhead mass of 800 kg, and a range of at least 1,500 km. The first instances of the new missile being used against Ukraine were recorded at the end of last year.
Based on markings and design features, the missile is identified as a development by the OKB “Zvezda,” which is part of the “Tactical Missile Armament” corporation. Some technical solutions are unified with other products from this developer and the corporation as a whole. In particular, the installed pyrotechnic valve of the pneumatic system is identical to elements of the Kh-35U missile, and the aviation catapult device is similar to the AKU-5M systems used for missiles such as Kh-101, Kh-55, and Kh-555.
The satellite navigation system, which is a first for russian cruise missiles, combines products from two different russian companies: the interference-protected satellite signal receiver with a digital antenna array “Kometa-M12” manufactured by “VNIIR-Progress” and the receiving-computing unit manufactured by “KB Navis,” created based on the NAVIS NR9 receiver.
For their integration, a coupling unit manufactured by ANPP “Temp-Avia,” known for producing flight controllers for guided aerial bombs, is used.
All three components of the navigation system contain components from foreign manufacturers—USA, Switzerland, China, and the Netherlands.
A separate electronic control unit for the warhead, BUBS-30, is made on a russian element base. Its key component is the 32-bit ARM architecture microcontroller 1986VE1AT manufactured by the company “PKK Milandr.”
