The transit of russian gas to Europe through Ukraine may cease due to the activity of Yulia Tymoshenko, liga.net reports.

Recently, several dozens of MPs, including Yuriy Boyko, Yulia Tymoshenko and Sergey Levochkin, appealed to the Constitutional Court with a request to cancel the unbundling of Naftogaz.

“After that, most likely, the Energy Community Secretariat will tell us that we have not fulfilled our obligations and will take the certification from the GTS Operator. Then we will receive a letter from Gazprom demanding either to review or terminate the transit agreement,” said the head of Naftogaz Andrey Kobelev.

According to him, Naftogaz works with Gazprom on a “pump or pay” basis. “Today, Gazprom does not use about half of the booked capacities of our gas transportation system. They think they overpay, and a negative scenario for us would be very positive for Gazprom,” said Kobelev.

It is likely that Gazprom can be a beneficiary of this process.
