PayPal terminated accounts linked to russian influence operations

PayPal has terminated accounts linked to russian influence operation that is said to have paid US and British writers for content aimed at sowing discord in the West.

Earlier, Facebook has removed three networks of accounts, Pages and Groups. Two of them — from russia and the US — targeted people outside of their country.

Since 2017, Facebook claims to have removed over 100 networks worldwide for engaging in coordinated inauthentic behavior, including ahead of major democratic elections.
