The EBRD plans to loan Ukrzaliznytsia $100 million to modernize Ukraine’s portion of the Trans-European Transport Network [TEN-T], Yevhen Kravtsov, the state railroad CEO, writes on Facebook.

“70% of the $100 million will be used to upgrade the infrastructure. … Another 30% is for an update to control systems,” he writes.

The TEN-T transport corridor accounts for approximately 80% of all transit freight.
