Brussels should request an explanation from Budapest about why Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto spreads russian disinformation

“It turns out that the whole world is suffering from the consequences of the war not because russia attacked Ukraine, but because Europe globalized the conflict. This is the opinion of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary, Peter Szijjarto, who recently visited Hong Kong,” the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Oleg Nikolenko said in a statement.

“In our opinion, Brussels should request an explanation from Budapest about why the Hungarian minister spreads disinformation against the European Union in the interests of russia.”

The issue here is not only about Ukraine but also about Hungary’s efforts to undermine European positions in Asia, he added.
