44 Ukrainian POWs freed in prisoner swap

Forty-two Ukrainian defenders and two civilians have returned home from russian captivity in another prisoner swap.

The Ukrainian prisoners of war who were released included soldiers, navy personnel, border guards, and national guardsmen. Among them were 36 privates and sergeants, as well as six officers. One of the released Ukrainian soldiers, who was very happy to see an apple, drew the attention of the journalists’ lens.

Among the released, there are wounded who were tortured by the russians in captivity.
