2,959 Ukrainian soldiers have been killed during the russian aggression against Ukraine.

“The price paid for an opportunity to build our state is too high! 2,959 soldiers have given their lives so that we have an opportunity to protect and build Ukraine now,” President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said in an interview with the Priamyi TV channel, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

Furthermore, the President reminded that the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred and tens of thousands of civilians, who have died in Donbas, gave their lives for the Ukrainian state.

“We must not forget about that. And we must make a choice, which Ukraine faces now, very carefully,” Poroshenko added.

As reported, more than five thousand russian officers took part in warfare against Ukraine.
