The Main Directorate of Intelligence [GUR] of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine confirmed the attack on a large warehouse with ammunition near the city of Ostrogozhsk in the Voronezh region of the russian Federation.

“On August 24, 2024, soldiers of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine inflicted a successful attack on a field ammunition depot located near the settlement of Ostrogozk in the Voronezh region of russia,” the message reads.

As noted, the warehouse belonged to the “West” group of troops of the Armed Forces of the russian Federation.

Ukrainian intelligence officers said that the russians kept their artillery and tank shells, cartridges for small arms and surface-to-air missiles in the warehouse. In total, there were more than 5 thousand tons of ammunition.
