Five people have been killed and 13 injured in russia’s shelling of Kharkiv downtown today. UA Suspilne informs, referring to Director of the Health Department at Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Maksym Khaustov.

“As of 03:00 p.m., five Kharkiv residents were reported killed and 13 injured. These are the preliminary data,” the report says.

Rescuers are working at the scene. The city came under artillery fire after 01:30 p.m.

According to the ate Emergency Service, russian invaders hit 18 residential buildings during the shelling of Kharkiv, ukrinform.net reports.

“On April 17, at about 14:00 in Kharkiv, enemy shelling of the city’s central part hit apartment buildings at eighteen addresses. Apartments on the fourth and fifth floors caught fire in a five-storey building,” the report says.

As reported earlier, on April 14, russian invaders fired at evacuation buses in Kharkiv region, killing 7 people and wounding 27.
