“More than 594 children suffered in Ukraine in russia’s armed aggression. As of the morning of April 22, the official number of child victims has not changed – 208. The number of injured children has increased to 386,” the PGO’s press service informed.

It is emphasized that these figures are not final, as work is underway in the areas of active hostilities, in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories.

The largest number of victims has been recorded in Donetsk region – 120, Kyiv region – 113, Kharkiv region – 91, Chernihiv region – 66, Kherson region – 44, Mykolaiv region – 41, Luhansk region – 37, Zaporizhzhia region – 25, Sumy region – 17, Kyiv city – 16, and Zhytomyr region – 15.

According to the statement, on April 20, a 16-year-old boy was seriously injured in a russian artillery fire in Bakhmut district of Donetsk region.

Also, the PGO noted regular airstrikes and shelling of civilian infrastructure and residential areas by the russians damaged 1,141 educational institutions. Of which, 99 were completely destroyed.
