There is a humanitarian catastrophe in Oleshky. People there are without food, water, and medicine, the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets said in a statement.
According to him, evacuation is currently complicated by mined areas. “Every day, I receive appeals concerning people’s evacuation from the area. We proposed various options for evacuation routes and the introduction of a ceasefire, but the russian side did not agree to these proposals. In my view, this was deliberate,” the ombudsman stressed.
He also noted that the international community’s response demonstrates complete ineffectiveness.
