The russian attack on the Yahodyn border crossing was made possible because Belarus has once again activated relay stations that help enemy drones penetrate deep into Ukrainian territory. This was stated by Andriy Demchenko, spokesperson for Ukraine’s State Border Guard Service, ukrinform.ua reported..
“As of now, Belarus is actively assisting russia in attacking Ukrainian territory. This includes relay stations activated on Belarusian territory that boost the signal for russian Shahed and Gerbera drones. After entering from russian territory, these drones stay close to the border with Belarus in order to receive the signal and thereby penetrate deeper into Ukraine, particularly into the western regions—Rivne, Volyn, and Lviv. The attack, for example, in the direction of the Yahodyn border crossing, was also carried out with Belarusian support,” Demchenko said.
He noted that previously, when Belarus received a warning from the President of Ukraine about the unacceptability of supporting russia through the use of operational relay stations that boost the signal, the Belarusians switched them off.
“Now they have switched them on again,” the State Border Guard Service spokesperson said.
