Ukraine’s Ambassador to Poland, Vasyl Bodnar, stated that for several months he has been unsuccessfully seeking to obtain at least one permit for search operations by Ukrainian specialists on the territory of Poland. The ambassador said this during a broadcast on RMF24 radio.
During the interview, the diplomat called for not inflaming public opinion in Poland around the claim that Ukraine does not issue permits to the Polish side for search and exhumation works. “Ukraine systematically, in turn, issues permits in accordance with the requests of the Polish side. That is precisely what the working group exists for… I would like to appeal here to the Polish side with a request to issue at least one permit for search operations in Poland,” Bodnar said.According to him, he has been seeking permission to carry out works in Lasków for several months now. “But no, we are not receiving it. There are always some bureaucratic restrictions. Therefore, I am making a public appeal with a request that at least one permit be prepared and issued on the Polish side,” the diplomat added.
