The Finance Ministry of Ukraine issued eurobonds worth EUR 1 billion.

“It’s a return to the market in euro after a 15-year break. It is a strategic placement for Ukraine responding to European integration, growth in exports to the European Union, and a significant increase in inflows and outflows precisely in euro,” Ukrainian Finance Minister Oksana Markarova wrote on Facebook.

The eurobonds were issued with a seven-year maturity period and a yield of 6.75% per annum. According to ubn.news,  BNP Paribas and Goldman Sachs International acted as joint lead managers on the transaction.

As reported in March, Ukraine joined international securities depository Clearstream in boost to government bond market.
