The world finally began to understand that russian leader putin cannot be trusted and should not be feared, the fifth president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said in an interview with Channel 5.

“The world finally began to understand the 2 key messages that I tried to convey to it and conveyed to it during the 5 years of my presidency. First, don’t trust putin. He only understands force. That’s why we created the Normandy format. That’s why we already had the European Union and the United States backing us. And that’s why we have to put pressure on putin,” Poroshenko said.

“And the second recommendation – don’t be afraid of putin. The world is scared by putin’s blackmail. Blackmail by energy, nuclear threat, economic blockades. Blackmail by the army, blackmail by the unions. Don’t be afraid: putin is a “colossus on clay feet,” said the leader of the “Eurosolidarity” party.

“We cannot allow precedents when one country will forcefully in the 21st century in the center of Europe change the borders. When one country will determine the fate of another country and its future, give permission – a green or red light for membership in NATO, in the European Union. This is unacceptable. And Ukraine demonstrated to the world that this cockroach must be defeated,” Poroshenko emphasized.
