russia’s war against Ukraine has caused billions of UAH in damages to the Ukrainian transport infrastructure, and it will take one or two years to rebuild the largest facilities, Infrastructure Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov was cited as saying by ukrinform.net.

According to Kubrakov, restoring infrastructure, Ukraine will rely on the help of the world: “Of course, this tragedy is not ours, this war is not ours – Ukraine protects the interests of the entire civilized world, we will also restore the country not alone.”

At the end of last week, the damage to transport infrastructure alone (roads, bridges, railways, equipment, and airports) exceeded $10 billion.

The minister believes that most of the facilities will be restored in a year; the largest objects will be renewed in two years.
