Since the beginning of 2020, about a million cases related to cyberthreats have been recorded in Ukraine, including website attack attempts, DDoS attacks, and spread of malicious software, ukrinform.net reports.

“The National Coordination Center for Cybersecurity under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine collects information on such threats from all state cybersecurity actors and analyzes it. In 2020, about a million cases related to cyberthreats have been recorded in Ukraine: application layer attacks, scanning attempts, website attack attempts, phishing, DDoS attacks, spread of malicious software, and more,” the press service of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine informs.

To promptly respond to such threats and prevent possible attacks, the National Coordination Center for Cybersecurity is stepping up cooperation with private sector companies.

In the last month alone, the NCCC has signed memoranda of cooperation with three dozen private foreign and Ukrainian companies. Such a memorandum provides for the exchange of information between the NCCC and a specific organization on cyber threats and incidents in the field of cybersecurity for prompt information, response, prevention of possible attacks, and mutual assistance if necessary.

As reported, the National Coordination Center for Cybersecurity is an agency under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, established in accordance with the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of January 27, 2016 “On Cyberecurity Strategy of Ukraine”.
