Almost 80% of russians support war in Ukraine – russian survey

Since February 2022, support for the war against Ukraine among the population of the russian Federation is only growing. Two-thirds of russians consider the war a success, according to a survey conducted by the Levada Center.
As of the end of February 2023, 77% of russians supported the “actions of the russian armed forces in Ukraine” [68% – a year ago], 17% do not support it [ 23% – a year ago].
At the same time, russians consider the end of the occupation of Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions [67%], Luhansk and Donetsk regions [71%] as unacceptable peace conditions.
